My Wife and I decided to remain at our address of over 30 years, by knocking down and rebuilding, with a seperate house in front. After Several months of deliberation, we decided on a plan designed by our architect and my wife. Next we sought 3 quotes for the big build and chose a young builder, JC Hayes Constructions.
Jono as he prefers to be called was enthusiastic and well prepared. After detailing the steps involved for both dwellings, the demolition had begun. Building both houses in tandem showed innovation and was labour effective. If we had a problem we were informed, but it was resolved quickly and efficiently. At all stages progress was well recorded.
Jono Kept us informed of the decisions we would need to make regarding types of materials or structure or white goods etc. Jono was very helpful in all areas, with contacts willing to help us stay inside our budget.
The build remained on schedule even though both houses were very different, not prefab structures, and complex in design. The qualities of the finished product are a testament to Jonos diligence and rapport with his tradesmen.
Not having built from demolition before, I was indeed lucky to have chosen Jono for our grand design. We have a wonderful new residence that has received praise from all that have visited us. The front house with its great view and gigantic void was an easy sell.

in 2017 we contracted JC Hayes Constructions Pty Ltd to build our attached duplex development at Cook Street, Caringbah South.
Construction commenced in August 2017. At all times during the build Jonathan kept us fully informed of progress via phone and frequent site meetings. When issues arose, he gave us clear options in a timely fashion. We also valued Jonathan’s advice about fixtures, fittings and finishes.
The momentum of the build never faulted. As estimated by Jonathan, our project was completed in 9 months and we moved into one of the duplexes in June 2018.
Despite a rapidly softening real estate market, we sold the other duplex in October 2018 for a good price. Our agent was very impressed by the build quality and received many positive comments about the high level of workmanship from potential purchasers.
